I've Seen it All (Rage and Ruin)

I've Seen It All

As I look back on my days of rage and ruin

If one moment could stand clear

It would have to be the year

We spent one night you ran away left me pursuing

Left me thinking of your touch

Oh I wanted you so much

But you let me sail away through stormy waters

Since then I’ve seen the sun come up each morning

And I’ve seen angels as they fall

And I’ve walked every street hoping to find you

I’ve seen pain and I’ve seen hope

That stretches down this empty road

           That leads me home

           I’ve seen it all

There were times when I was lost no one could find me

You find out things when you’re alone

That you wish you’d never known

And I felt a bitter wind howling behind me

I just let it fill my sails

And prayed that mercy would prevail

And would guide me past the Sirens sweetly calling

And I’ve seen the sun come up each morning

And I’ve seen angels as they fall

And I’ve walked every street hoping to find you

I’ve seen lightening fill the sky

Like God was trying to blind your eyes

           Heard thunder roll

           I’ve seen it all

I’m not proud and I’m not ashamed

Though there were times I was to blame

Heart don’t turn away

Help me find the words I need to say

I need to say

As I look upon the road stretched out before me

I’ve still got so much to learn

And before I crash and burn

This is the only time I’ll get to tell my story

And if by chance I catch your ear

You’re the one who made it clear

That a single step would set me on this journey

And I’ve seen the sun come up each morning

And I’ve seen angels as they fall

And I’ve walked every street hoping to find you

I’ve seen truth and I’ve seen lies

Seen love break the chains that bind us to the wall

           I’ve seen it all

I’ve seen pain and I’ve seen hope

That stretches down this empty road

           That leads me home

           I’ve seen it all

           I’ve seen it all

           I’ve seen it all

           I’ve seen it all

           I’ve seen it all
