Devachan Music - Community Room

I don't actually play much bluegrass, though I've heard and loved the music since my teens. My involvement with the bluegrass world has come mostly through songwriting. I've been honored to have some songs recorded by some great artists: Laurie Lewis, Kate Brislin and Jody Stecher, Ranch Romance, Freyda Epstein and Acoustic AttaTude. (End of plug!) As a fiddler and accompanist, I play mostly old-time American fiddle music--that is, pre-bluegrass, I guess--and Irish traditional music (which some people would call pre-old-time music). Because my ears are accustomed to old-time music, I actually hear bluegrass music itself as pretty "high tech" music-- where others, hearing it in relation to acid-death-grunge-retro-grrl-house-techno-rap-hop may think of it as fairly tame.
